My problem happened in the first week...............
I let an inexperenced rider take it for a spin.......
He decided to do a little excelleration test... stood it
on end... busted the tail light off, bent the grab handle,
and cracked the right rear fender ($300)
Performance wise.... same as the others....... three tanks of hard
riding..... no problems .... this thing screams !

I took my KFX700 in for its first service, and I mentioned that every once in a while, at half throttle it would stutter. This usually happened when it got warmed up during extended rides. It was by no means inhibiting my ability to ride it. So the Service Manager said that he would look it over real good. Mine was the first one that they got, and sold, so I think he just wanted a reason to dig into it and check everything out.
To make a long story short, he contacted Kawasaki, to see if this was something that they have had reported to them from other shops or if it was an isolated thing. Well the Service Manager has been on the phone non stop with Kawi. Everyone from the US Reps and Engineers and even a conference call from a team of Engineers in Japan.
The answer to the question is, NO, this is the first report they had about any stuttering troubles. What are they doing about it? As we speak, a set of New Carbs (Roughly $900+ worth) are on there way to replace the ones that are on it now.
Like I said, it really wasn't an issue, I had Zero complaints about the way my KFX700 was working. I asked the Service Manager if all of this attention was normal, and he told me that Kawi has a lot riding on this quad, and they aren't taking any chances on anything, and want to take care of Any issues that might arise.
Makes me happy with my decission even more to know that Kawi is standing behind the KFX700, 100%. Just one more Bonus Point for the KFX700.
