Default Help on an 84' Tecate 3

Guys,

I posted this at the end of another Tecate post with no luck so I am trying a new post. I am helping my brother rebuild an 84' Tecate 3 and we have a lot of work done.(Engine rebuilt, front and rear axle rebuilt, all new plastic, controls, cables, carb rebuilt, fork seals, rear shock rebuilt, etc.) Our problem now is that we get no spark. I can get the CDI to send the trigger pulse to the coil so I am assuming that the coil is bad. Does anyone have a manual for this bike? and could you give me the values for the resistance tests for the stator, coil, and CDI? I used these tests years ago to diagnose a "no spark" condition on a KDX 200. Also, where can I get parts? I would like to steer clear of the dealers if possible. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

ED

Good luck finding good used parts, have you checked the magnets on the flywheel? They are famous for coming loose from the flywheel.

Prairiewrench,

We had the engine rebuilt at a local 2 stroke speed shop and they assured us the flywheel was ok. They installed a rewired Ricky Stator stator and said we were ready to go. Any other suggestions?
