Default P650, anything I should know?

I'm trying to work out a deal for a new P650 this week. I'm looking at a 2002 Camo, anything I should make sure is done to the quad before I take posession? Any recalls that may have been over looked on the unit that I should bring up? Anything at all? I live very far away from the dealer so I don't want to have to take it back to get it serviced because of something that was over looked. Thanks.

Oh yah, and if there are recalls the dealership will have record of that and they will check those against your vin# to see if any are needed. The rear axle for example was recalled on some of them. I personally never heard of anyone having axles brake on them but if it's recalled, let them buy you a new one.

I'll ask them and I already got tires, outlaws which is why I'm getting this quad because they broke my Arctic Cat 500i twice so now I need a solid axle machine and I want to try out the Kawi.

BRENT:
I am sure you have heard about the belt issue with the P650. This is ALL due to the fact that some P650's come with the belt loose from the factory. I did not have an issue with mine but now that I have my belt real tight, I can tell you that it wasn't this tight from factory. Invest in the repair manual and purchace the Black spring from E.P.I and do the work yourself. My bike has never seen a dealership and it has 1700kms and climbing, with no problems. I changed the clutch spring and adjusted the belt myself with the assistance of the awesome info bank, at Master Nyrocs website...go there it's a good place. Good luck, and you are about to be the proud owner of the most awesome 4x4 ever made!

PS: Go buy a good suppy of dark underwear at your local Price Costco...I find the "prodige's" quite good... you will soil yopurself on a regular basis with the new beast, as it will take some getting used to all that POWER!!! Go buy a good aluminum baseball bat as well... to beat all the atv girls off you as they drool over the new weapon!

TEST Ride !!!!!!!! Put it in low and get down on it let off hard,if you hear a loud ratcheting noise it is the shifter linkage. It is not going into low gear all the way.

I'll be driving it for 3 days in the local dealer area, so if I do find something wrong I'll be able to get it fixed before I head back home. I hope everything goes well at the bank, I really want this quad now.
