@LT80 Alrighty, got it back together. But in the process I noticed that the shoes for the back clutch are pretty far out that I had a hard time getting the housing back on. Now. I've worked on something like these before. And those shoes shouldn't be touching unless they're being forced outward. Like the front clutch. I looked online and the whole shoe assembly is pretty expensive. I have a feeling it's the springs inside. Can I get the springs anywhere? The place I ordered the front end parts just has the assembly...
@LT80 , I took it back apart and have taken a picture of what it looks like and it's below. I'm going to have to get a socket to get that nut off. I measured and it's 1 1/4th. Should a 6pt impact do the job?
Also wanted to ask, should there be this much slack on the belt? Figured since I'll have the shoes off might as well check and change the belt if needed. I feel like that is a lot of slack on the belt..
Dude, what a mess. Ya know ya gotta take the rear clutch off. That whole clutch pack should slide off the tranny input shaft. It may take a whack or 2 and yes a 1 1/4 works and it's LEFT hand thread. Deff looks like a spring rusted and broke.
You need to take the front clutch off and apart. You'll be needing some rollers at least I bet.
Once all is apart and fixed, the loose belt will be fixed.
@LT80 Sadly, that's what got me here was the front clutches chattering and we figured out it was the rollers standing straight up basically. I put it all back together and then this happened. I just can't win with it lol. I'll work on getting a socket to take that nut off. And thank you, I had read that it was left handed thread. Off to AutoZone or harbor freight! I'll update here once it's apart.
Thank you again for all of your help. I greatly appreciate it!
FYI: If you have a older LT80 and found the rollers frozen in the hardened grease, you could have seen a roller problem. In fact, if hard grease isn't a issue, the rollers flip when the variator is removed.
It's one of those things that you need to insure it's together correct, then not worried about till you get back in to maintenance it.
Make sure the rear sliding face works freely. I sense a issue.

Front rollers are new and good now. The old ones had tons of flat spots. But no caked grease thankfully!
As for the rear sliding face. Is that what those shoes grab? I got a socket from harbor freight. Now just need to get home and ugga dugga it off!
Oh no. That's what I would call the rear clutch hub. The sliding face is where the belt is. The sliding face has to be stuck for the belt to be that loose.
Remember, left hand thread on the big nut.

Oh! Gotcha. Yeah that one was tight when I tried moving it. Like one of the springs is holding it all the way up against the inside. I'll tear it down here in a bit and get more pictures
