@LT80 , got it off with a quick zip of the air gun. Some beating and prying (gently) and it launched off and plowed me in the shin. Was not ready for that hah. But. The springs do look really stretched...are the arms the shoes sit on supposed to sit smoothly on the rubber boots under them? Cause this one they kind of, pop?, Into place.

Also, the back piece that the belt sits in isn't stuck. It moves freely without the spring against it. But it is a little rusty on the inside where the belt rides, I'll try to sand and smooth it out. But the belt is still really saggy.. suggestions on that problem?

Did you get the rear clutch off of the transmission input shaft. Sounds like you took the clutch pack off while still on the machine. You'll need to get that off to inspect the bearings and service the sliding face. I'd take it apart and lightly grease.
Ya, 1 spring is bad for sure.

@LT80 , I'm not sure I'm following? I apologize.

It is still all on the machine as I was trying to minimize what was taken off and such. Is there a better way to do this, or more preferred way?

I took the 1 1/4 nut off that was holding the clutch shoe assembly on. After I did that, the shoe assembly launched off and the big spring behind it was just sitting there. I'm able to slide the movable driven face back and forth and it moves freely. I'm not sure if you can see the picture above, but it's the clutch shoe assembly and the stretched springs.

The post (thing with sliding face) comes off the tranny input shaft. This is where I said it may yake a whack or 2. You need to check the bearings in the post as they wear out more than any bearing on the machine.
Just pull hard, carefully pry, give it a whack... it'll slide right off once it breaks loose from the shaft.
Please don't "tag" me in posts. lol

Ah. Got it. I'll try that later today.

Those springs don't look happy on that clutch piece. Do you have a place to get just springs? 100+ for the assembly hurts lol.

As for the tagging, I apologize, it's a habit from other places. I shall refrain from doing that here.

I wasn't able to get it off tonight. Didn't even budge. But it spins freely though. I don't wanna pry and pull too much..

Would it be okay to shoot some pblaster in there? Or would you advise against that?

Also, for the springs. Would you be up to selling them for less than 100$ a piece? 😃
