we fot our bike done buy motowest its the 20hp kit. it runs brilliant and so far trouble free we have done a lot of racing with it, you do need to run race fuel we are using vp c12 108octane, on our standard fuel there is not a vast improvement on power but when run on the race fuel its tremendous.

hey leeroy how is the torque inprovement i want to get mine done for hill climbing mostly. its fast enough every where else. Also how does the new head pipe look does it stick out more than the stock pipe. I ride in shorts alot in the summer and have only touched the stock one a couple of times. Im really leaning toward the motowest job just want a little more info if possible. In my book 900$ isnt bad for a 1/3rd horsepower incerease.....

looks like gas gas builds the ultimate sport quad (300cc two stroke) but they are really expensive at 8-9k
but boy they must fly!

Here is something that lets you know how serious GasGas is about their product.

Check out what they are going to do for the GNCC racers (bikes and quads)

GasGas Contingencies

So where is Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha's and Kawies atv programs? I know Kawie has one for the 700 V force, but about the true high performance sport quads?

GasGasmxracer

I'm in the process of selling the GasGas and I have not bought a YFZ450 yet. I don't know if I will buy one or not, it's just an Idea I've been kicking around for a couple months now.

The reason I'm parting with the gasgas is as follows:

Poor track record for me at the race track last year on it.
Parts take to long to get at times. (over 2 months on a rear hub)
I was not having any fun last year racing the quad. Spent most of the time worrying about just finishing races and keeping it running.
And the final straw that broke this camel's back was the contengency plan that GasGas is offering, but refused to make me eligable, due to having to buy a new quad.

I will say this though all the issue I had with my quad last year have been fixed on the new models for the most part. I just can see spending another 8500+ on a new one just to have a shot at winning 100 bucks per race (if you win).

After alot of thinking I decided it would be best for me to cut my loses and go back to what works and just focus on having fun racing.

I wish all the GasGas owners/racers the best of luck and I hope GasGas continues to improve on the machines, I just won't be along for the ride.

I skimmed through the posts here. i think the question was whether GG should have it's own forum, instead of being lumped in as an "other". I come to this particular forum to get info on kids quads. It always throws me off when I see stuff about 250CC and bigger performance quads. I wonder, "what are these posts doing on a kids quads forum?who are these guys, don't they have something better to do than talk about speed and performance on a kids forum?"Then I realize, they're right and I'm wrong, they've been put in this spot by no choice of their own.

Give them their own forum is my vote.

one last shot. I know zero about GG other than what I'm reading here. seems they've found a niche racing market, but others argue they should be more diverse and sell bread and butter, income earning machines. It makes the others lots of $$. It seems to me that with the combination of super high performance and potential for catastrophic injuries and only having $$ from limited, targeted sales : will they have enough capital to cover all the lawsuits from seriously injured riders? The others do, that's why they sell their bread and butter.

well they have sold trial bikes for years like prob 30 years they have dirtbikes also just new to the quad market and now they have a 50, 240, 300, and 450 model out.

lt250r91, sorry to hear about that I have heard about the contigencies given out at the GNC events kinda sad for a company trying to make a go specifically in the sport market, the new yfz450 is a sweet machine too can't go wrong any way the other reason to switch would be the switch from 2- 4 stroke machines and thier backings.
