Quad4fun, the honda 90 is pull start. it really sucks that the kids can't just turn key and go. that would be my big criticism of that unit. they will stall (like any quad), and if you're not right there, you gotta run 'em down and re-start it for them . they just can't pull it the way an adult can. plus the eton has a lot more features. never owned an eton, but they sound intriuging.

Yep, that's true. That is a drawback. I like the Honda but it's not at the top of the list. I may look at an LT160 for her also next summer. To many to choose from , so we'll see. Thanks for the thoughts.

Bigger, The E-ton is a great machine I have a 2003 Viper 50 for my son and the little bugger hauls. The diff between the 50 70 and 90 aside from the engine is the size of the tires. So if you want to start on a 50 in a few years you can just put the big bore kit on for the 50 to 70 or 50 to 90 and put on bigger meats. Plenty of mods out for all three of them too. as soon as my boy learns a little more we will start tweaking.

i looked at the eton and dinli for my 6y/o son earlier this year and had planned on the eton. the dealer was a butt head and pissed me off by running his mouth about things he knew nothing about so being the forgiving person i am i went somewhere else. i ended up looking at the bomb ds90 and got my son that model. the little ds has held up great so far and seems to have a lot of low end power. if it can hold up to my son it's tough. when he takes off till he stops he is wide open, sometimes he's wide open even when the bushes stop him. there is suppose to be some mods out there for the ds also but i haven't looked for any but have seen quite a few for the eton and lt.

Traxterman. thank for your input. I think I would feel better with her on a the 70cc quad. and I really like the features you stated that the E-tons have. I think I can get a E-ton 70 for 1700 (plus tax) here within a couple hours drive. Is that a decent deal?

Thank yall very much for your input!

bigger.

Defantly need to beef up the drive train when you add some ponies to the E-ton 50. Jr bent the chain adjuster and snaped the chain when he landed on the gas today. He might weigh 40 lbs with full gear tops. I have to try and figure out how to get a new adjuster and find out what kind of chain roller tentioner will work on these things.

Traxterman,

Do you know off a bolt on spring loaded chain tentioner for the E-tons?

What chain does the new E-ton 70 run? I believe on the 50 its a 420 and the 90 is a 520.

I purchased a 2004 LT 50 for my 6 year old son, 45 lbs, in October 2003. The 50 had very little power, pull start and he grew out of it by this spring and I took a huge lose in trading it. Tried to sell but no takers. I just purchaed hima 04 Viper 90 and we both love it. Electric start, horn, good brakes, light kit, etc. I would not hesitate in purchasing another one.
