Default eton 70 - How do you work the cdi on the eton?

Just bought an Eton 70 . I played with the cdi from 1-7 but really did not notice any speed difference. Does this thing work?

Makki, there is no point in digging up old posts.

There is probably nothing wrong with the cdi. If you want more rpms out of the eton, you'll have to mod the engine.

Ok thanks man.
Look first my top speed is 75km/h and I need more speed
and yust a litlle more acceletation.
I dont know but I think that the engine is similar to the engine of
HONDA @150 NES???

Some advice please.I know that I am maybe boring but I really need to tune the engine.

What do you think about this:
1. Install bigger engine valves
2. Put the cilinder hed little down to gain bigger compresion.
3. Chains???

If you need I can send you engine shematics.
If you need my e-mail yust ask

THANKS!!!!!!!!!

Makki, the 70 is a choked up 2-stroke scooter engine. That I could give a little advice on. Not sure where your leading with this?

I think shaving or grinding on the cylinder or head is risky business if you don't have help or experience.

No no i know that 70 is 2 stroke but my viper is 4stroke 150ccm I have exp. in
cylinder heads with cars I was working 5years in tuning workshop.
But I dont have exp. with ATV and with automatic transmisions.

I tryed to exchange muffler, K&N air filter, Denso Iridium spark plug,
I even put malossi clutch springs....
Oh BDW try this site www.malossi.com look for e-ton

What is your ride?
Where do you drive I have great mix of Asphalt road, Dirt road, Woods, and than
muddy + rocky cliff.

Like you said, you can try to take a little off the cylinder to bump the compression and do a little port work. Don't know where you'd get the specs though on an eton 150 though. BUT porting may not help much with a stock head pipe anyway. I'm assuming you've had trouble finding one? You might try a larger carb. I've heard of people custom building cams but I would think that would be VERY expensive. I don't know of anyone that's raced a 150 or I'd send you their direction. Good luck!

And I've got a 400ex and the kid has an ex-choked up scooter engine. We ride in sand.

Yeah sand must realy be cool I am from Europe Croatia near Bosnia and Serbia
I must say that I would like to try racing on sand.
I get shematics because my boss is the general distributer for e-ton in Croatia
and we are now opening service center for E-tons and all other ATVs and motorcycles.
Pipe is not a problem because my friend is making pipes for cars so he made me one for free
Cams are probably expensive in USA but in Austria is a factory that made me cams for my
Suzuky hayabusa for 220$

If you need shematics but more like part list and I could mail them to you?
Just send me your e-mail.
I have shematics for
Draco 50/100
Yucon 150
Viper 150
RXL 150
DXL 50
CXL 150
Oh yeah I got also an service manual for maintain with troubleshootings
If you have any ideas about tuning Draco 100 2 stroke with engine from Yamaha Aerox 100%
Help also wanted
