Default '89 Yamaha Breeze reverse and carb Q

I broke down and bought a manual. the pilot screw (air/fuel mixture) is under the carb, not on the side. Yamaha's spec is 2 1/2 turns out. the float height is 21.8mm-22.8 mm. they say the adjustment tab should rest on the needle valve, but not depress it.

thunderbolt was right about the reverse, when we hold the rear brake lever, it doesn't stall or die while shifting into reverse. once in reverse, it's fine.

I am glad you got it figured out. My kids sure love our 125, But even after the dealer adjusted the carb it seems to have a slight hesitation from a dead stop if you go to take off fast. Does your Breeze hesitate at all and how much was the manual for it ??

Thanks for the compliment on the bear. It is no monster, But I am happy with it. I actually got that roll of film developed before my four wheelers so pics of those aren't on here yet.

Have the valve adjusted it helps they need this often we have had two of them a 89 and 01. We loved them but the valves and brake shoes are a pain. We would still have the 01 if my daughter hadn't totaled it rolling it down a canyon. If I could find another for the price we bought the 01 for I would buy another.

who said he got it legally?

Bryan, I paid $40 Cdn for a factory manual. they basically photocopied a manual then bound it with a plastic cover page on either end. if ya need something you can always ask me and i'll send ya the part you need or give you the quick and easy answer.

Mine doesn't hesitate that I've noticed. it's just overflowing gas out the bottom. what's frustrating is that i'm sure it's a simple adjustment if ya know what you're doing, but no one will tell me cuz i'm from Canada (j/k).

In your other post someone said to take the bowl off and turn it upside down. I am not sure on the Breeze, But the Mikuni on my old snomobile was adjusted that way. I think I am going to adjust my own carb instead of taking it back in again, Even though it's free. They just can't seem to get it right.

ya, it shouldn't be that hard to do. i wouldn't mess with the float tho. on something that new, it should be perfect.you may just have a plugged mainjet.
