LT80 Questions-Please help

OK, I have the cover and the fan off the magneto and remove the nut (center) that holds it on, but it won't come off. I want to get in there to sand the inside of the magneto wheel. Anybody have advice?
Question 2 - I want to remove the oil injection. Anyone know where I can find a trick little block plate? And, to remove the pump, does the side cover have to come off, or can it be pulled from the top?
Thanks,
Coyoteman

Impact wrench should pop that puppy off. The oil injection is easy remove the side case and take off the...... sorry I just drew a blank on the name but it is a washer that is keyed with two tabs, after that pull the line off the oil pump and plug it off. I left the pump assembly in place. I run 40 to 1 but I am sure that others will say to run something different.

I'm sorry, let me clarify on the magneto. I have the nut off, I just can't remove the magento wheel. Is there something else holding it besides the magnetic force?
I want to remove the entire oil injection pump.

There is nothing else holding it on.
You need a puller and make sure that it is on straight! USE CAUTION!! I've prollly pulled a couple hundred of these off, but I have bent 1 crankshaft.
Use an impact wrench on it (the puller), if it still won't come off, put pressure on with impact, then hit the puller with a hammer (on the end where the impact socket goes) this usually pops it off.
Oil:: yes the side cover has to come off. On the end of the front clutch, there is a lil black plastic piece that runs the pump (It sorta looks like a bow-tie). This needs to come off. It drives the washer w/tabs the other fellow mentioned. After that the line to the carb needs to be plugged. You can get a fancy plate off ebay or somewhere, I don't bother with it personally.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
Now, while I have the clutch cover off, anyone have any clutch mod ideas?

Ya! Maintenence of the clutchs is a good idea. as far as clutch mods, remove 2 of the 6 rollers and forget about anything else till you have a motor to pull em.
Front:Check the rollers for flat spots. Check where the rollers supposedly roll for gouging.Check the plate that's on top of the rollers where the rollers contact it for gouging/wear.
Rear: Sand the contact patchs VERY LIGHTLY. Check the bearings.
