Suspension and Power mods for LT80
#1
I have seen a few different Mfgs. of suspension mods for my kids lt8. I am looking for a-arms, shocks and wider axle. Does anyone have reccomendations? Does anyone make an extended swing arm?
I am also looking to increase power.
I am a pretty good mechanic, but.... I have not ever worked on a two stroke, and I know enough to let an expert do it....If I want it to last!
No racing, but we ride pretty hard in the dunes, and it would be nice if my kid could do more on the 80. There is too big of a jump up to the next size bike. Plus, I have a younger one that will take over the 80 when we are ready to move up.
All suggeestions are welcome.

Okay as for the rear I would go with a set of wheel spacers, they are cheaper and much easier to install
For the front end you coud go with front spacers once again or James Lucky sells a front end extension kit, once again cheaper and easier. Front A-Arms are pretty expensive and unless you are going to race I wouldn't go that route.
For the shocks my sons bike already had his, they have about 5.5 inches of travel. I think they are rear shocks off an old dirt bike, but they work great. For now we still have the rear stock shock.
The lt 80 has no swing arm in a traditional since as the engine and transmission are the swingarm. With some work I am sure you could fab something up but why do you want it longer, are you having problems with it flipping over?
Performance can be achieved by an air filter up grade, remove the carbon plug out of the tail pipe, and look in to modifying the clutch.
Rather than re typing all of the clutch mods just do a search and you will find what your looking for. Have fun and let them shread all the sand they want. Also make sure that you have already removed the restrictors on your 80.
