Twister Hammerhead clutch?
#1
I have two Twisters, low hours but hard riding. Latest problem is on one of them, the engine runs fine but the rear wheels aren't engaging. In a recent crash, the clutch cable (fwd Rev) was slightly damaged at the clutch housing but nothing serious just slightly loose. Another incident caused the clucth cover to break off, the housing covered the clutch and chain (it seemed to have a lot of greese in it also). So my conclusion without tearing it apart yet is possibly the clutch has been damaged or the cable has loosened to the point of not allowing the clutch to engage?
I'm guessing.. any experts have a better idea?

I think what you are talking about is the reverse gear assembly right?
That is whats connected to the output shaft of the clutch that has the sprocket and planetary gear housing. Anyway, I am not sure but if the cable was loose, it should be in forward all the time. I am fixing to take mine apart to see why it wobbles, looks pretty simple from the diagram. Its actually a pretty nifty and simple idea, but I worry about that clunk it makes when shifting gears (yes I come to a complete stop).
