Default Kymco Mongoose

I just purchased Kymco 90 mongoose and It seems to be a good mini, but , I need info on removing the rev limiter. We are interested in doing some mini atv racing so I want to get a little more revs. I have removed the throttle limiter and it pulls hard untill the rev limiter kicks in. There seems to be alot left in this mini. Could some one please help me with this issue. Also, if anyone has modified this 4stroke engine please give me some feedback.

iam thinking in becoming a dealer for kymco how do you think they are.

You have to cut the LIGHT green wire on the CDI. The CDI is located under the seat. There is also a limiter in the tranny. You have to replace the variator shaft. The stock one has a shoulder that keeps the variator from opening up all the way. Pretty easy to install though.
If I was going to be racing, the Kymco 90 wouldn't be the quad I would choose. Its not as fast as the 2-strokes.

My son Zachary is 6 years old and a factory rider for KYMCO they are new for 2003-04. The 90 will have some after market parts soon. You can make a 90cc to a 125cc in the ATVA nationals for 2005. Zachary is a two time NATIONAL CHAMPION. He also races local races and has won about 35 local races in 2004 on his stock 50. We have had absolutely no problems at all. KYMCO anyways offers a one year warranty. You will probably never need to use it. Zachary has two 50s his National 50 was the fastest 50 at nationals that was legal. We will be making a 70cc production for Nationals in the ATVA Series. You can email me and i can help you with any questions or parts when available. I recomend to go to www.ATVAOnline.com And the rule book is on there. 2005 they may have a new class for the 90s. And go to www.kymcousa.com

Thanks for the response guys. I am going to look into the ATVA rules and the GMQRA to see whats legal. After breaking our 90 four-stroke in it seems to have good torque and pulls hard untill the rev limiter, can't wait to see what we can get out of this thing. Im sure it don't have the snap of the 2strokes but if we can get a broad torque curve and gear according I think we will be competitve on some tracks. I know it will work well on tight woods courses with lots of hills. It really seems to be well built and has great looks also, ours is yellow. I will post any problems that come up. So cutting th green wire is step one that will add some power. if you still need more do the tranny work? or do i have to do both tranny and green wire?

Go atvriders.com and look in the mini section for airmobile1. He can explain alot.
