Default lt80 pipe

my pipe on my lt80 is rusted on the outside the whole length of the pipe, its even chipping at the first turn closest to the engine. i dont have a hole yet.
im gettin a new stock pipe for sure.
but do u think that the rust on the outside has effected the inside and performance?
Will the new stock pipe help my performance over the old stock pipe?

it really depends on how plugged up it is INSIDE. my pipe was responsible for horrible performance. so it's possible you'll notice a huge difference, or no difference.

I know you mentioned getting a stock pipe for sure, but have you checked out the pipes from FMF? I was looking at one the other day in a catalog and they look sweet.

"IF" you are ever going to build your LT80, the FMF pipe is a very poor choice.
If you are never going to increase performance internally, then the FMF is OK.

nothing wrong with the stock pipe. and it'll save ya a couple hundred bucks! ( i see then on Ebay from people who have changed over to aftermarket).

I agree.
The stock pipe works very well and works well with engine mods also.

Sorry man I am going to have to agree with these guys. I have the FMF gold series fatty pipe with the power core II silencer. Looks cool and shines nice. BUT NEVER NOTICED ANY POWER GAIN. After purchasing pipe and adding on bolt ons. I now see that all I did was through money around like Ike did Tina. Thought I would through in my word since I have an FMF on my LT... Save your $$ and do some engine mods before you buy bolt ons.

I have two little ones, LT80 and KFX 80 both with a DG pipes and never had any problems with them. My brother-inlaw has two LT 80's with FmF pipes and one of the pipes fell apart. I think it is a matter of choice, what looks nice to you, they make a lot of noise and the kids love them.
