Thats fine. I'll stick with my info. I am not doubting you. You can set yours at what ever you feel is best. I was trying to give my input to help. My mojave is .008 also so i tend to believe the manufactorer. .002 and .004 is very tight.
Is that .008 checked hot or cold? Not doubting you either, but .008 seems lose to me. I Definitely appreciate all input.

Default redcat fx150 valve adjustment

Here is the info I got from Sunny@kazuma.com when I ask for the 150cc valve adjustment:

For Meerkat50-4A, Panda100-4SA, Cougar250-4M

1. For TDC Mark
Looking from the right hand side of the engine casing, the magnet on the crankshaft, which form part of the generator has mark on it. The arrow on the magnet must face the mark on the casing, that is TDC ( piston top )
2. When the piston is TDC, that's ignition timing.
Looking at the camshaft from the front of the engine the following will be seen
( a ) A slot in line with the big hole of the cam gear .
( b ) The two small holes of the cam gear will be flush with the turpet cover seat on the head, the cam lobes are free.
3. The valves clearance
( a ) The inlet valve 0.05 mm
( b ) The Exhaust valve 0.05 mm

I did the math and 0.05mm = .002 Thanks TomDnSC. I checked mine and I did set at .002, think I'll leave it. I am curious about what makes the redcat fx 150 engine different.
