The 110 model does not take gear oil. It is a "wet clutch", in other words the clutch and motor are both lubed by the motor oil. They should have explained this to you. Better yet, unless you are a mechanic, they should have advised you to take it to either an authorized dealer for that brand, or an ATV shop and have it properly set up.

Valvoline makes a good "wet clutch" ATV oil. This is what we use. Seems to work fine. It is not necessary to use a "special" oil, as the proper viscosity is more important than worrying about what additives are in it.

How difficult is the clutch to change out? I replaced a clutch in my old Big Red 3 wheeler, would it be a similar job?

It should be similar to the big red clutch but smaller. And Im not sure if the big red was a auto clutch or not. If it was it should be extremely similar. If not the only difference will be the auto clutch pieces inside.

And for the record you should be just fine with conventional 10-30 or 10-40 motor oil. Some here will claim that you must use certain oils to keep from destroying the clutch plates. If thats true, than my minitrail 50 shouldnt move at all. It still pulls my 230 lbs around quite nicely and its still on the stock clutch. no to mention my xr75 and xr 200. I use valvoline 10-40 in those engines too. Only my KTM gets Amsoil synthetic.
