Nope just recheck all the major nuts and bolts. Expecially the rear swing arm and the front suspension bolts.

Thanks for the help.....would this filter help with the sluggish low end power on these bikes ?......they have plenty of high end speed.....but no low end torque what so ever as do other auto 90's.....again wish it was a 3 speed shifter.....then this bike would be perfect.....don't get me wronge this bike pulls me on a sled (200 lbs.) from a dead stop on level ground......just won't go uphill on a dead stop........we make it over some hills but have to be at cruising speed to do so....or maybe I'm just asking too much from a auto 90........ok how much for the filters and where do ya get them ??.......thanks again !!!

Hi everyone..for the K&N filters...any Auto store (yes, even Pep Boys and probably Canadian Tire), but they are special order items from what I was told when calling about them..but I found it much cheaper to order online: http://shop.knfilters.com/KNShop/Default.aspx is the web address to where I ordered mine from. Save about $20 by ordering from here. The actual filter is like $27 and the outer part was $14 online..Pepboys quoted me like $36 for the filter and $27 for the outer wrap. Merry Christmas everyone!

Been viewing this thread for a bit, great info on all sides. A couple of questions for the US owners that purchased via PepBoys, did the US "green" version come with the front bumper and headlights? Would you purchase again, based on those of you that have had problems/issues?

PepBoys has the 90's on sale again for $797.00US.

Thanks in advance

the US version did come with bumper and lights. They are actually made very well. Nice suspension, fit and finish is good and looks like they used better bolts. I would recommend it but Pep Boys can not help you after the sale and Baja is a real pian to deal with. They are a good little atv for the most part.

Hi cr4,

I agree with 2manytoys, they are good little units for the money. Since you have been reading the posts in this forum I am sure you have read about each of our experiences, good and bad. I have had issues with one ATV but the other has been great. The one that we had an issue with was just replaced by Baja thru the store I bought it at. They are not easy to deal with all the time. I don't think they are trying to be difficult, I think they are a little under staffed for the amount of sales / growth they have experienced. If you stay on top of them and be persistent and patient they come thru.

Another thing I have noticed since we have had units built in different time frames is that they modify the design slightly as time goes by. The unit we just picked up was built in September, later than the first two we had. They do pay attention to issues that we are having in the field and correct them. In an earlier post someone mentioned that one of the carb overflow hoses would melt because it was too close to the head. This did happen to the first two we had. The new one has been modified by having an additional bracket added to keep the hose away from the engine head. I haven't had a lot of time to look the unit over to see what else may have been changed.

In all, good units for the price.

Yeah after 8 months of ownership I would buy another......other than a weak winter battery this bike has been a steal.....I was in Gander mountain last week looking at their new koplin 90 atv's......man they want $ 1,700 for a new camo verison with reverse, kick start and racks......nice little bike........frame is smaller than the Baja....my boy said it look too small......then you go to Pepboys and see the Baja 90's on sale for $797..........which would you buy ??....I'm telling ya the Baja is a great deal......excellent value for the money....just don't expect Honda type support services for the bikes......heck they are fairly simple machines to take care of......heck ya I'd buy again !!!!!

Just bought my son (9 yrs old) a Baja 90 CC ATV from Pep Boys for X-Mas. I got the newer blue model (12) with the larger frame, digital speedometer, and lanyard ($797). I tested it out and it runs fine so far. My son had never really learned how to ride a bike, so I plan to work with him starting out slowly on the ATV ( < 10 mph) and build up his confidence. He needs to learn how to shift his weight and understand balance and also not be afraid of a little speed once he gets the hang of things. I will be patient with him...

Any tips would be welcome!

Excellen JFullam..your son will love it. I got the 90cc for our 6 year old..but he's been riding motocross since he's been 3, so he has less to learn, but riding an atv is different from motorcycle and I'm sure I'll have to watch him closely..he's a little daredevil and I know he'll be testing the limits on his 90cc in no time.

Good news..got the 2 atvs home...changed the oil in both...put the recommended 10w30 synthetic in them both, put the new K&N filter on the 90cc and then ran them both for about 30 minutes...NO PROBLEMS! I'm so excited for Christmas now...Thanks again 2manytoys for all your help..they are both starting right up and after only a few seconds of adjusting the choke, they both run just fine. I ran the 90cc all over the yard..handled nicely in the snow/ice with me on it.

If it wasn't for this forum I would have gotten rid of both Baja's by now. Thanks again everyone - Merry Christmas!!

I took the new 90CC baja (gift for my son) out again for a spin today (seems I can't keep my hands off it).
Anyway, it ran great after a little choke fiddling... but today it seems the Speedometer stopped working... it worked fine yesterday, and the only change I made yesterday was to adjust the speed restrictor screw a little .... I tested it afterwards and the speedometer worked fine, but today, it just shows zero MPH... any thoughts?
