Default Racing LT80 Clutch and Variator??

Have been racing in LT80 class for 2 years now, in top 4 competitors. Rules dictate we have to use standard Suzuki Variator and clutch. Rollers can be changed/lightened in the variators, I have fitted heavier springs in both clutch shoes and pulley spring. Would appreciate any advice on roller weights and profile of pullies. Just need to get a bit more performance overall.

Welcome to the forums.

Rear clutch shoes to 180 +/- grams (each and exact)will help raise the stall.
No motor mods were mentioned. Removing a cpl rollers is all that I recommend for a stock motor (if it is).

Default Racing LT80 Clutch and Variator??

We used to run 42 gms now running 48 gms on one bike and 47 gms rollers on the other. Using Mallossi rollers on std variator. Running std barrel with extensive port work 2 mm oversize. I think that the heavier springs in the rear clutch shoes is giving me the same effect as lightening the clutch shoes. (increaseing stall rpm) I have heard about changing the profile of the belt surface on the variators.
Anybody know anything about this? There is an aftermarket variator made by Malossi which is said to make a dramatic improvement but 1. i'm not allowed it and 2. I cant get my hands on one anyway.

Hello,
Why cant you get your hands on a Malossi Variator? I have a connection in Italy that can take care of it. I might order one for myself too.

The best of the best tells me that the LT80 clutchs are superior to the other machines. That's why they have to buy all that stuff.
Yes you can change the angle of the faces. I do.
Is the Malossi rollers the same OD as the zuki rollers?
I've seen others extensive port work. Some are, some aren't.
What pipe are you running?
What RPM are you running?
