Other than what you can get from CT Racing, this is the only other performance type kit I've seen for these little quads but for a whole lot less money. Any thoughts, good, bad or indifferent? Power Up Kit

well, i'm no expert but i read that this fmf was not very good compared to the ct racing version. IMO it looks better but there is no expansion xhamber or anything like the CT has. I would look for some hardcore data before purchasing. I have an 03 lta 50............ and was considering the CT kit.... but I also have an 80 and he is starting to take to that bike... for the cash price of either kit one could almost upgrade to an 80 for the same amount of money......

hey let me know if you get it and how it works out

KFX50 is a 2-stroke, only the '06 Suzuki has gone 4-stroke and is now called a Z50. I was just looking at them this weekend, KFX is a twin to the '02-'05 LT50 A's.

I've heard the same thing about the FMF versus the CT, but I like the fact that the FMF is still fairly quiet and it incorporates a spark arrestor. We ride in a lot of areas that require a spark arrestor and the rangers do check them pretty regularly. If my boy was racing and looking for all out performance I agree that the CT is probably the way to go, but since we just ride for fun and he needs a little more oomph, I'll probably go with this type of set up.

I missed the end of the auction completley, but as it turns out, it's been relisted and at a lower price. I'll be watching it more closely this time.

This little needs more than just a pipe...sure it will help, but you need to get inside the topend and do some mods. You need to lift your exhuast port by puting in a spacer under the jug, what this will do is get the exhuast port fully open when the piston is down, then you need to mod the head and top of the jug. The transferports can be opened alot also which helps. All this can be done by your machine and it is cheap. We have the alloy spacer to go under the jug for sale. This mod is the first one to do before pipes etc, and cost less than a pipe.

We have done close to three years r&r on this motor and it will never be the fastest 50 out there but we can make it a heap better than stock.

Me too! I'm also wondering if the new head included in the CT Racing kit addresses the same issues??
