Default MWQ gets a Jetmoto 200 quad!!

The Jetmoto 200 is still running good. I have not had the time to get to the DMV and register it yet so all my riding has been in a flat dirt/grass field. Weather permitting, I will take it out to one of my riding areas next weekend and let everyone know how it does.

Thanks for the welcome MWQ. As I was assured by John that a green sticker approval was a lock, I ordered and took delivery of a pair of 125's and a 200 this week. After quite a bit of investigation, I did not see anything negative about this brand that was not due to inadequate prep and adjustment. My main issue was the sticker as that is heavily enforced in my area. Any tips/advice would be appreciated on what prep and adjustment issues you faced. I plan on posting my experiences here. Thanks again!

Yes California is a little picky about their stickers, thats for sure. The main thing is to remove and put blue loctite on every bolt that holds plastic or smaller brackets to the frame etc. Basically every bolt that is either a 8mm head or a phillips needs to be loctited, and you could do 10 mm headed bolts too. And the air filter needs to be oiled before riding the quad, it does not come oiled from the factory. And replace the oil it is shipped with before even starting the engine. 10w-40 will be fine. Be sure to let the quad idle for about 10 minutes before trying to ride it. There is a gel pack in the carb to protect the float assy during shipping. and it needs time to dissolve. As for adjustments, I had to loosen the chain and the clutch lever adjustment on the 200. And I raised the idle screw 1/2 turn.

Wow MWQ, this is exactly the info I was looking for! Im very interested in the Jetmoto 150 and 200. I started another thread earlier about the Kazuma 110, but as I find more info on the Jetmoto I think maybe Id rather go that route. Ill probably buy two 150's for my wife and 12 yr old daughter, and the 200 for me. Im gonna stick with the Kazuma 90 for my 7 yr old, I think it will suit her nicely. I guess you see a considerable quality difference from the Kazuma to the Jetmoto, huh? Would any buyer have reason to believe the Jetmoto wont last 3-4-5 years of use with proper maintenance?

Heres a question for ya: do you think the 200 would have much trouble pulling a 1400 lb VW race car around on flat concrete? Hows the clutch feel?

Thanks for all the info!

Welcome to the forum ErikTheRed, I dont own a kazuma but the Jetmoto is light years ahead of the Yamoto 150. Especially in the suspension dept. I havnt ridden a Jetmoto 150 yet but have ordered a couple for a friend of mines daughters. I should have a report on them by next week. I cant imagine the Jetmoto not lasting a long time with some maintainence. The fit and finish on the outside of the engine looks good and it runs real good too. I have pushed a few dead cars around with the 200 and it has no problem at all.

I am still lagging on getting the 200 registered but I did get 2 150's today. They are for a friend of mines daughters. I should get one together in the next couple of days and I will probubly start a new thread about it then.

Ill take all the info you can post about the Jetmoto stuff, Id like to get a few ordered soon and the more info the merrier. They certainly look cool in the pics, but pics can get you in trouble. My daughters Kazuma Falcon 90 is on the way, so that should give me at least a baseline as to what to expect from the Jetmotos--- but as I understand, the Jetmoto stuff is better than the Kazuma stuff. If the Kazuma passes the "ErikTheRed" test, then I shouldnt have any problems with Jetmoto. Thats my theory, anyway. Im slightly concerned about ANY quad's ability to hold up well to the torture of 305 lbs, which is what I weighed at last check.

Not a problem ErikTheRed. My son should be here with the 150's in about 45 minutes. Im curious to see if they look as well made as the 200. And if the suspension is as good. And while I dont have anyone who weighs as much as you do to test for me. I am going to let a friend of mines daughters who ride japanese quads ride the 200, and tell me what they think of them. You may want to look at the 250 Hunter, it should be able to haul you around pretty good. Im hoping to get one myself to see how it hauls a load in a trailer.

Welp, I have two issues with the 250 utility...........first, the price. NO, Im not saying its overpriced, Im just saying the 200 is ALREADY a stretch for us, so it makes it pretty tough to fork over another $500 for the 250. Im trying to get 3 of em, 2 150's and the 200, and that adds up to $4500 smackers. I know, still cheaper than ONE quality adult Japanese ATV, but still alot of money-- only got what ya got, ya know? And this is tax return money, so when its gone, its gone. The second issue I have with the 250 is the engine--- its a twin cylinder motor, and I havent heard hardly a thing about it. The smaller Chinese single cylinder motors have been around for while now, and copied from the Honda motor, but I dont know anything about this twin. Do you have any info on it?

I understand money limits, all of my toys but the yamoto were bought used. Im sure if you dont abuse it the 200 would do just fine. I was just assuming the 250 hunter would have more low end. It being a utility/hunting quad. I have no experience with the 250 twin at all and I would like to see how it does too. It must be some early jap twin engine copy. possibly a honda. The 200 sort of looks honda like but may be a suzuki too. The 150 is definitely a honda scooter engine. The 150's got here and though we didnt get them out of the crates. From what I can see the suspension looks identical to the 200. That is a good sign for me. I can compare it to my Yamoto for engine performance so we will know if the engine was upgraded at all. If its as improved as the suspension, the 150 could be a really nice automatic quad.
