Well, perhaps I spoke too soon. If you go to the eton USA website, it says made by Chinese company JI-EE. However, once you go to JI-EE website, you will find the following passage:

...and have been producing ATVs, 2-wheel scooters (gasoline and electric) and electric scooters (for medical care) in Taiwan. Successfully marketing these quality products with brand of eton and surely becoming a worldwide famous and reliable one in the market.

http://www.e-ton.com.tw/prof_history.htm

So, as you can see, the eton ATV IS manufactured in Taiwan.

Amazing, the Sunl 90 I purchased broke frame in the same spot as the picture as well as the same spot on the opposite side. I cut the top off of a clevis pin and slid one in each side, then welded the two parts back together again. Also welded a piece of metal on the motor mount back to the rear axle bracket.

And of course, just past any warranty as well and my dealer...HAH!...long gone.

Wow....in retrospect, glad I decided against the chinese bikes....

I did a LOT of research into them and was looking at buying a SUNL.....but the spotty dealers (locally) and lack of parts on the net (oh sure, I could contact a local dealer and see if he could part one out for me) convinced me that one of the big 3 was the only way to go....

Bought a Honda TRX90...2001.....spent $1100 for it plus another $80 or so in parts.....so $1200 really...but its a solid bike that will get me $1100 or so in a few years. The bonues is that I can get tons of aftermarket parts for the Honda.

I lhad ooked at a SUNL in person and flipped it over to look at the frame etc.....I cant see them being good for much more than tooling around the yard....they just dont look robust enough....if you compare the SUNL I looked at with the TRX90, the TRX90 has SUCH a more rpbust frame.....The SUNL had some great features like rear disk brake and electric start, but the the core of the machine seems under designed to me....

The price was sure attractive....$600 or so brand new....but like they say, you usually get what you pay for.....

it really doesn't matter who the dealer is or where they're located, the dealers intensions may or may not be good , it's the sunl group that sucks, the don't and won't supply replacement parts , to busy selling new atv's and could care less about replacment parts . i can't believe people are still buying from them knowing this. their's a reason raceway quit selling this crap.

I appreciate your energy on this, but the question was not directed at you. You might feel they are crap but for someone who does not mind paying a low price, that is their choice. I just want to see one up close.

Not trying to open old wounds, but wow, Bill, you sure have changed your position on Chinese junk. All the dealer support in the world doesn't change the fact that junk is junk. You eventually just plain get tired of dealing with the crap. There is a place for those kind of machines and they will work for some, but not many. If you have $500-800 to pi$$ away, then by all means, get Chinese. The money you spend on the nicer quads from Taiwan and Japan will more than make up for the up-front money. And that's the big point; you get a bigger percentage of your purchase price back when you sell. BTW, what happened with the almighty sandrail? Looks like you're selling it for less than half of what you paid for it.

I have a SLA 90, purchased new from Sunil in Jan. 2006. This weekend the fame snapped. It looks like the exact same spot and is broke on both sides. I took it into the local Sunil shop today and I am waiting to hear back from the manager as to what they are willing to do to fix it.

Bill,

How do you like that 110 compared to the 90? are you worried about that frame too?

Just curious,
