Default ETON 50 COMPRESSION ??????

i have a eton 50 that has 140 pounds of compression. the plug is tan like it should be. but it will not open up. bogs from 1/2 to full throttle. i have a lt 80 and know this is enough compression for it but dont know about a eton. would this affect this. it almost seems like it doesnt get enough fuel. the fuel filter is a see through and doesnt ever look full but it doesnt run out of fuel and quit. it just wont rev up. i looked at reeds, they are metal. the owner got it really hot so im still thinking internal but if it starts fine i wouldnt think this would affect this. i really need to get this done. i got hondas to mess with, i know my way around them. thank you!

there is several things to look at try to ajust the air screw make sure the carb is cleaned out check air filter make sure its not starving for air you said fuel filter was half full mine is full all of the time there might be something blocking the line as far with compression 140 should be good for a stock 50cc to me it sounds like fuel problem

ive cleaned the carb, which i may look at it again. ive adjusted the air mixture. ive blown air back through fuel lines into the tank. ive cleaned the air filter. i talked to a fellow i know who races these and run alcohol in them, he said the rollers or the stator is weak? im going to check the intake a little better tonight.
thank you!

most of the time the stator works or goes completly out if is not that the cdi or coil could be breaking down I hate eletrical problems I would rather it have a blown motor easier to fix eletrical parts

Our stock 90cc Viper had 125 psi so 140 should be good for your 50...I would take the carb apart and make sure the main jet isn't plugged along with all the stuff miniquad97 recommended. Our fuel filter only stays about half full as well and the bike runs great.

I would think if it was a roller problem the transmission wouldn't shift properly. This would mean it would either take off normally and then over rev((stuck in low gear) or else be very sluggish to take off but then would pick up and run ok at top speed(stuck in high gear).Niether one of these scenarios sounds like your problem?...Its not too hard to tear it apart and check though.I have pictures to walk you through it if you decide to tear into it.

you guys are lucky im a religious man and dont use that kind of vocabulary anymore but this eton has got to be the cheapest madeunit ive ever seenin my life. ill start with the air box. ive seen push movers with a better air box than this thing. all the fuel line clamps are throw away, the fuel lie and carb vac. rubber cap are made of the softest rubber ive ever seen. ive had to replace pretty much all the fuel line the rubber cap on top of the carb. the clampes on the air box and carb are junk. ive heard these things cost just as much as a suzuki 50. id buy the suzuki. i thinkin of buyin this one though because if i cant fix it im going to burn it. ive recleaned the carb with a fine toothed comb. ive found things i really thought was the problem but no dice. it fires up geat but sits there and sounds like a old 2 cylinder john deer. im going back out and checking the rollers in the clutch then i have to move on. ive got a xr80 that has set for 2 yrs after a young fellow had an acident, i guarentee you i can have it running in an hour and thats going to town to get some gas. you guys are really nice and helpful but i cant beleive someone would race something like this. how much should i offer the owner, i was thinking 50.00. i could use the gas and new plug i stuck in it for my daughters lt80 that i fired up at 7:00 this morning when it was 30'. the only other thing i can think of would be the handi dandi electric choke. but hte plug looks good. hope i didnt make anyone mad but i had to get that off my chest and my wifes tired of hearing about it.
thank you!

Hell if you dont buy it let me know I'm not too far from you. Send me a PM. I got the time to mess with it. As far as junky then yes they are made by children in taiwan for children over here LOL . 140 psi is fine. I need a 50 for my boy and have a complete parts bike to swap out parts on. Let me know if you dont get it.
