New Roketa won't start.--SOLVED
#11
I got it, NM, I took off the plastics and went through to make sure everything was hooked up properly and secure. I checked the filter, everything seemed fine, put that back in closed it back up. I tried a few more times to start, finally it kicked over. So, I adjusted the idle for about 15-20 min to ensure I could let it run without the choke on and everything is fine. The motor doesn't bog when I quickly hit the throttle, it stays up when warm, and has constant thrust when riding. So, I guess I did something right, I wish I could elaborate more, but that's all I know. I can't give a good review on the roketa yet, but let's hope it pans out. Thanks.

I hope it works out for you. When I was talking about the spark plug I meant just to take it out and see if it was fouled/dirty. I just purchased a chinese atv 2 days ago for my son and I still have not got it running yet. These bikes are good to develop your wrenching and electrical skills...

Mine would not start right away either, I just went through and double checked the fuel lines to see if there were any air pockets. Once I did that it started right up. Where I went wrong was having someone else adjust my idle, which ended up being disastorous. So, I had to tinker with it for a week or so just to get it to start. Once I got it starte I simply adjusted from there. It is, as you stated, something to help one learn their mechanicle skills, which I have none of. Good luck with yours as well, I hope it works out, and I wish I had any help to offer.
