Okay well for those who are wondering I counted the front sprocket on my HI-Bird and is a 15 tooth already. I thought it might be a 14 tooth like the jetmotos but I counted it 3 times and got 15 everytime. Also I adjusted the break as laubin said and it helped alot but then I notice my rear caliper bolts were very loose. Tightened them up and it is draggin again but I am thinking it might just need the pads in a little more. I have only put mayber 2 hours on the 4 wheeler and I didn't use the rear brake all that much. Of course I might have warped the rer disk when it heated up as well but I will have to keep rechecking it. It didn't look warped when I turned the wheels. I also reversed the wheels on the front and it gave me a little more width but the rears are pretty much centerd for backspacing so didn't gain much there. Had fun doing donuts in the driveway though!! LOL! I do enjoy this quad even with it's little quirks and it was well worth the money.

Ok Guys,
Got mine all tightened up. Went over every bolt on it that I could get to. Found one shock bolt stripped. Replaced that. Fired it up and it runs like a top. Then died and would not restart. Course if the operator turns on the gas it helps!! The thing runs smooth as silk. I've only ben running around the place trying to brake it in gently. But I have a gully out back that you know I had to climb. Took a steep grade, about 50degrees or more with no problem as long as I kept the revs up. Scared the pee out of me though!! But I am gonna have trouble getting used to the backward shifting. Been going up to upshift since the '60's !! But anyway looks like a decent unit. The front light cowling is pooply attached but I put 2 little sheetmetal screws into the front edges and it is very solid now. The only real issue is I have to take a look at the brake light seems to be lighting the brake instead of the tail light. Back to it, Tell ya more tonight.

The brake light and tailight are the same part same as a car is. The tailight lights up when the lights are on and the brake light is the brighter. Sounds like yours is working the way it should.

Just a thought.. Might be a stupid idea, but was thinking this... From reading I can tell that some bought from motorXtreme, and others from Anamcycles... I know the quads look the same etc, but do you think they where made by the same company?? I was thinking maybe listing the problems by Dealer too.. This way we can determine a pattern of what to expect if you buy the 200cc from either of them... Maybe you might get one type of problem when you buy from one dealer, but get another type of problem buying from the other????

both are the same bikes a hi bird 200 ...I bought from motorxtremes and the bikes doesn't even say tornado 200 on it.
both places seem to be on even footing as far as customer service. Anamcycles is cheaper and delivers to your door.

yeah for sure they are exactly the same units. The only differences I have found are some of them come in with the contrasting nose cone color, and some do not. But I honestly don't think the dealers even know what they have. They all come in the same container is my bet. Some solids and the next batch might have the two tones. There are three dealers in OK City selling the same units on ebay. Best- Buy also known as Anamcycles.com, Motor extremes and AZ supply. All are different prices and different shipping options with Best- Buy being the best buy ! As far as service they all make the same claims as to parts availability and with them being 350 miles away who's going to take them in for service?
My brake light turned out to be a stuck brake switch on the front brake. I have been riding it for most of the afternoon and after some adjustments to the bars and control positon it feels pretty good and runs great, pulls strong. With the tires fliped to the opposite sides on the front it gives a wider stance and does great donuts !!
Oh buy the way I forgot who had a little carb problem but check the top of the carb where the cable and slide go in. Mine was loose as heck. Couple of turns and she smoothed right out.
All in all I think they are really good deals.

Just an FYI... MotorXtremes just raised the price again of the Tornado 200 again.. It's now $1049... Go Figure... I was looking into buying a few quads from him at the end of the month, If my current plan doesn't work out... I was going to get a prowler, and a tornado... IMO... I'm really not a fan of a company that raises the prices when the demand goes up... I feel it should be the other way around... Should stay the same or drop... Because you know they where making money at $899...I guess I will start searching again for another dealer.. I wish Raceway sold the bigger sized 250cc quads... would make life easier...

Now that I take a good look... Maybe the Jetmoto 250cc is a bigger atv??? How much of a difference in size do you think there is on these two quads??? Do you think it would be really noticeable?? Which do you think is the better model??? Here are the links ...

The one I'm considering getting

The One that has caught my eye...

Thanks for advice

I did as Xavioronasis had suggested earlier. I went to the local Pep Boys and sat on their 250cc model. It sits the same as the 200cc HiBird. The dimensions they all list in their spec sheets are sketchy. On the Anam site and their Best buy site on ebay, they list them as 36" wide. They are actually about 39. If you look up every site that is selling these units you will find they use the same specs provided by the Chinese mother ship. One thing I can say is these other bikes would have a couple more HP but that is only at full RPM. You could buy 2 HIBirds for the price of one jetmoto. i am totally satisfied that I used the right dealer. He keeps holding his price and selling his bikes. Motorextremes has gone up twice since I started watching their stuff after the first of the year. But for the money they are great fun!
