I looked for MONTHS for a used predator 90 or a Raptor 80, always overpriced -- Simply because there is a great demand for used kid's quads. I did find affordable japanese quads, but usually too far away........... That said, look at my sig line... Most of my stuff is japanese.

I bought a SUNL 110. I have NO illusions that it is the same quality as a japanese quad. None. I KNOW it is much more poorly made. But, The kids love it, I can wrench, I can weld, and it fit our needs at the time.

I will tell you this. You will Never be sorry for buying a quality machine (the big names).... BUT, sometimes, you buy what you can afford and live with the small frustrations. I wanted to buy a TRX90. New they are $2,750. Used, they are near to impossible to find. I could not put $2,750 towards a toy right now. So I bought a chinese. Really what I wanted was a Used TRX90 or Polaris Predator 90 used. It wasn't a price problem with the used, it was availability. You can find Thousands of used adult quads for 1K to 3K.... Difficult to find used kid quads. Why else would the chinese kid quads be so popular?

So to answer the question. I'd buy chinese again, but not as a first choice. A Used Honda, Kawi, Suz, Polaris, Yami, etc is my 1st choice... But between a Brand new $2,800 quad and a new chinese one for under 1,000.... I'd do the chinese again.

my friend bought a yamoto 110 jus to beat the crap out of it. he has had it for about 2 years and him and me have jumped that thing so many times. he sometimes rides on 1st gear on full throttle for about 20 secs. he stands it on the 2 back wheels and drops it. he pulls things around with it like pulling pine trees out of the ground when he does garden work. he drives it with one flat tire. and the thing runs like its brand new. the other day we where trying to do little burn outs. the only thing that did break was the start button. but all he does is put it in reverse and pull it and itll start. he leaves it outside in the rain without a cover everyday. this is not b/s. still runing real strong. its up to you if you dont wanna believe me i wouldnt really care, as long as i know its true thats all that counts. (no offense to anyone).

BTW, that quote is from Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged". It's a great quote, too, for those who understand.

I have a Desert Cat 90 and a 2004 400EX. Damn Honda gives me more grief than the Desert Cat. I just put Gas and oil in the DC and it is off running. Damn cold blooded Honda of mine is
a pain in the butt. Next quad I get will not be a Honda...I thought my 250R from 1988 was cold blooded.

Would I buy the Desert Cat again. Heck yeah. Though the new DRRs are a bit nicer.
Would I buy a Honda again...No.

Hi. I hope someone can help me with this.

I bought a 110cc coolsport for my child, but she can barely get it up the driveway or anything with a slight incline, forget riding over a rock. I have read here that some of you have ridden up hills, jump, kids abuse it etc. I feel like it is holding back. Granted, it came with no manual and the battery was dead, which I had to have charged. Starts great, and rides fine if there is no incline to the road. Am I missing something? Is there someway to adust it so it has more power?

some small quads have a rubber plug in the air filter inlet with a small hole in it and it willnot get enough air you can just take it out, i hope that helps , also some engines have a washer installed in the exhaust where it bolts to the engine ,good luck

I have been struggling with this issue for a year. As you may notice, I have been a member of this forum for that long. My brother got a Kazuma Falcon 110 for his daughter about 18 months ago, and it has given her lots of service. However, my brother has magic hands when it comes to fixing these things. They have not had a lot of problems keeping it running, but the "suspension" is absoute crap. The shocks do not even compress when he gets on the machine. (he is over 200 lbs) My neice (who is around 60 lbs) has gotten used to it, but it shakes me up if I ride it. The brakes are also poor on hers, though some of the Chinese quads have disc brakes in the back. For her, it has worked fine (with magic hands able to fix it all the time) The price was around $800-900 I think. They hope it will last another year, and they plan on getting her a bigger, name brand machine, probably an Arctic Cat or Polaris.
I personally do not have the time to work on the quads. I work 12-14 hours a day and the only time my girls get to ride is when I am home. If we have a couple of hours to play, I do not want to spend it trying to get the quad started. My brother has the benefit of time and mechanical prowess, and for him it works fine.
I finally fixed the problem of having two daughters and one working quad yesterday. My 7 year old now has the 2003 Eton Viper 50, and the 9 year old got a brand new 2006 Eton Viper 90R (four stroke). I got an amazing deal on Ebay for the new 90. Some cycle shop went out of business and they were liquidating the inventory. The 90 is a cool little machine. It has reverse, with a beeping reverse alarm, head lights, double a-arm front suspension, a disc brake in the back, a horn. It seems to have plenty of power. Hopefully this weekend we will get to ride a bit more and see how the four stroke does.

Check: How exactly do you get 22 inch Mud Lites on the Eton 90 and the AC 50? Do they rub? Do you have to use wheel spacers? Where can you BUY 22" Mud Lites? All the ones I have found online are 25"-27"

It sounds like you may have a bad clutch. I don't have any experience changing one on these machines, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you out with a how-to. I would makea new post for help with how to change the clutch so that it doesn't get lost at the bottom of this thread. My son has a Coolster brand 110cc and it has pretty decent take-off power on most surfaces.
