buying a new drr-drx2 90
we own a honda trx 90 and we love it for our son, who is 10 years old, we bought it new in 2004 and have had 0 problems, but this summer our son drove us crazy about racing his quad in some hare scrambles, which if you dont know is mostly in the woods and really curvy, top speed aroud 20 mph, which we finally did. Man did i ever get a surprise these drr quads were really fast and the susp. was amazing, the first race he got third and iwas proud, and he was wore out ,they rode for 45 minutes, got beat by 2 drr quads , next race he got second place, and i was even more proud, he lead every lap except the last which he got past by a drr, we willnot get rid of our honda because my wife likes to ride it and our son will still play on it also, but comes race day we will be rooting for our son on a drx 90

You do realize that just having a DRR isn't the complete answer. The DRR's are a fine machine, but,, your TRX can be made into a great xc'er. Whether it's the DRR or the TRX, it takes $$$ to get em up front.I have a LT80 in the woods that'll bury your TRX but that don't mean you should run out and get one. Please study up. It may save you some $.

my son came in first his first time out on the drr, and came in second yesterday, in hisclass, (9 &10) and 7th over all (11- 15)year olds and his class left 30 seconds after the11- 15 started and they were caught in 15 minutes, and the trx 90 that i love, would not stand a chance, there was 4 in his class and they were hopped up some what , pipe and susp. upgrades, but when the flag dropped they were left in the dust and thats the truth, i wish you could buy a 4 stroke that you could run against a 2 stroke in the same cc but unless you unload some serious cash you cannot compete, you cannot buy a competeive 4 stroke like the drr for the money that you can buy a drr for, i mean 2400 bucks is alot of money but i could put that much more in the trx, just to make it compete with the drr, this way i have 2 quads , 1 to play around on and 1 to race with, that is just my way of thinking and my son and his mom are very happy, and that is what matters most LOL.
