Default 110cc ATV Starter keeps turning

Can somebody help. Bought my little girl a 110cc utility style atv. It was a little difficult to start but nonetheless got it going. After afew minutes it shut off and now it won't stay running. It fires up fine. The second it give it any kind of gas a loud clunk and it shuts off. It sounds like the starter is still running after we start it. Could it be the Transmission? Called the supplier (which is too far away to take it to) and suggested it may be the carb. After adjusting the carb it did idle better, but again, give it any gas and it tries to go but will loudly clunk and shut off. If anyone has any idea what mat be wrong please let me know.

Thanks for any help
Jim

is it a Jetmoto? Im having same type of problem with my 250cc Jetmoto. I have already changed Jets in mine that is what the dealer told me but i changed yesterday and still having problem. I also charged battery yesterday to make sure everything would be fine today. Still no dice the bike turns on fine and then it dies when i apply gas to it im thinking about changing spark plug cause i havent done this yet. I think if i do this and still no dice it maybe carb or starter. Hope someone can help use.

No its not a Jetmoto. Yours doesn't sound like a spark plug or starter problem just because it starts and idles fine I assume. Try adjusting the carb. there are 2 adjusters one with a spring. You may want to google how many turns of the screws to have it properly calibrated. The problem with mine is the huge clunk the engine makes when it shuts off. Good Luck
