take the cdi out of its rubber pouch. it has a green wire that comes out and goes back into the back of the cdi. cut this wire and tape the ends up. now you have no rev limit.

I have a 2004 eton viper 90. I'm very confused. I had bad spark so I tore the wheeler down and cleaned up the stater. That only helped a little bit. Now I'm wondering if it could be the cdi box. Also my cdi box has five wires, one blue and yellow, one black and red, one black and white, one black, and one white and blue. It is a stock eton cdi but it doesnt sound like its the same as everyone elses, it doesnt even have the green wire. Also my little dail goes up to 7 every where I've looked says they only go up to five.

I've never even seen an eton, but your wiring colors match the wiring diagram exactly that is posted on www.anythingatv.com.

Here is a link to the wiring diagram:

What do you mean by "bad spark"? Got a meter? I think there lots of things that can be measured before plunking down $100 on a new CDI which may not fix the problem.
