Old post, but I was needing some help with this also.
The Eton rx4-90r that I've got, we're wanting to make it adult friendly also. Probably the heaviest weight on it right now is around 250, and that gets bumped down to about 180 with other adults. It pulls pretty good now,but I want to refresh everything in the clutch. I'd like to do the belt, and maybe change the rollers, but with the heavier riders, would I need to go a little heavier on the weights to get it moving sooner? Also, once in a while when switching from N to F, it sounds like a grinding thump. Any ideas? Doesn't do it all the time, just once it gets good and warmed up. I haven't torn into yet, so some of my answers may be obvious once I get into it. Just basically looking to make a reliable stocker, that can carry some weight around. Not looking for a race bike here, lol. I appreciate any help.

Also, this kit I found, do you think this is even usable? Can you mix weights in the variator? And would this variator work for the RX4-90r?

or maybe this one?

And if I changed out the variator, is there any springs I need to change with it also?

If you've got the eton 90 that's basically the same as the Polaris 90's, keep an eye on the rear swing arm. They're not terribly strong and can crack with the weight of adult riders. Getting a little reinforcement welded on there might be a worthwhile investment.

I rode my buddy's 90R. It seemed fine to me in stock form.
His tranny started thumping and eventually went out. Bewtter get in there and check it out now.
FYI: expierience tells me that :: clutch mods don't work w/o motor work...motor work don't work w/o clutch mods.
maybe try some different roller weight. Yes you can mix them altho most don't.
