Default Need help with a wierd problem.

I bought this Hanma R9(Sunl type) mini atv and it stopped starting with the key switch. It works fine if the key switch is off and use the remote. As soon as we try to start it with the conventional way it runs for about 2 seconds and stops. Turn switch off and use remote runs like a top...is it the igniton module?

see if you can unplug the key switch from the wiring . try to start unpluged , if not try using a small piece of wire to jump across to connect the two together. if it starts and runs either way your key switch is bad. i'm not firmilar with remote systems but most key switches work one way or the other. hope this helps

If you unplug the remote box from the quad wiring harness and try to start the quad with the key and start button does it keep running? Note that if it runs OK you might have to use the hande bar kill switch to stop the engine - the ignition switch won't shut off the engine.

Do you have four wires on your ignition switch? I'm just trying to see how close your quad wiring is to another brand 110cc quad wiring diagram I have.

If it runs at all it is not the igntion module (CDI) that is the problem.
