Hello all, well just got a 70 viper for the kid's. Might have read previous threads? Anyway, had a koso cylinder, piston, ring's,koso intake and reed's,
keihn 20mm carb, uni, outerware, clutch kit and a drr pipe installed . Picked up yesterday. Extremeley happy with results!! Question is takes about 5-10 feet before the power hits, when it hits its hard. How do I get insant powerband. has to be in the clutch or variator? All work was done by kool kid's atv in NJ. What a professional, clean work.

when I Loosen screw on clutch, what happens next. I hear about a tool?
Is this something I can do on my own?. Have air tool's. Stock clutch with ? clutch kit springs. Not sure which color. Most of our hard riding is with my 30lb son and my 180lb body on this thing. I did notice it has a large yellow ( torque spring?). It goes about 10 foot then hang on. My 5 year old rides alone, thet's when the adjustable cdi comes in! Can keep it out of the powerband as she only rides around the property at this time.
Both children are really enjoying the atv thing, lol, so is dad

I am still working on it..The etons have very heavy rear shoes in the clutch so a light wieght set of shoes will raise the engagement rpms quite a bit off the line..However in my case it did not help because now it is revving so high it is starting to shift gears already before the clutch engages..I have to try going back to the lighter tension engagement springs or a lighter set of rollers in the variator to hold it in low gear at the higher rpms...I got my light wieght clutch pack from Hetricks for about $60 bucks..
