I pulled the and it seemed as if the pilot jet may be clogged. I couldn't blow throught it. I cleaned both jets as well as the carb and filter and its still doing it. Any other suggestions b4 I take it to my mechanic?

I'm wondering what the compression is.

 

Low compression would cause this problem? I'm sure its time for a new top end.

 

Yes it can.
I'd check the comp. to make sure.
