do i need to replace

Default do i need to replace

im planning on cleaning the carb on my boys Kfx 80 & was wondering if i need to replace any seal or gasket when i put it back on.

I would say that you would have to since if you try and reuse the old gaskets it will not properly seal and you will have leaks. You might get away with using gasket sealer as I used some when I cleaned my 1984 Honda ATC and no leaks observed. See if some of the experts will chime in on your question

While I can't say that i have that carb apart, most have a reusable gasket. Just be careful not to tear it if the carb halves are stuck together and you should be fine.

While i would never speak for LT80....Im pretty sure he is saying no, the gaskets and or o-rings will not need to be replaced.. Not sure about this carb, but if there are any rubber items in it..keep carb cleaner away from them or they will grow to a very useless size..

I have run into a ripped bowl gasket but it's mighty rare.

ok, got the carb off & most of the way apart. do i need to remove the main air jet 2 & the neddle jet to boil my carb & if so, how in the world do i remove them?
