lt 50 problems
#1
i just bought a 1986 suzuki lt 50 been sitting four 15 yrs cleaned carb put new plug in it. the problem is when you hit the throttle it dies. the plastic piece in the carb that slides on the intake tub has one piece broke, when i put back together i put in the right place to use to tightin the carb like it should be. now when i spray starting fluid around it it sucks it in so that means its sucking air to is this common? whats the air fuel jet setting i turned it in all the way then 1/2 turn out like it was set when i got it. any info would be appreciated. thanks

Most air screws start at 1 turn out.
I'm unsure of what's broke on the carb but if it's sucking the fluid in, that's a problem IMO.
After sitting that long, I'd expect the crank seals to be bad but ya never know.
FYI: you should use carb cleaner or the like, not starting fluid. *boom*.LOL
