Default 87 LT80 transmission problems

I read the forums alot but i think this is my first time posting. My son was riding through some puddles and got the KN air filter soaked..... it bogged down and would not move, would run(not go forward) but bogging down. Cleaned up and dried the air cleaner and motor sounded right but still would barely go forward, in the meantime a friend of mine put 3/4 a quart of oil in the clutch caseing and drenched everything with oil.... So I took off the side cover, cleaned out all the oil, cleaned all the gunk in the rollers on the front clutch, cleaned up the belt, thought i got any water or oil out but when i put it back together still had the same problem

Did you clean the carb? I suspect a plugged jet/orfice/etc.

As usual you were right..... Thats usually the problem with that KN filter 99.99% of the time, I had cleaned it once but suspect I either missed some dirt or like the second time I did it i left choke up after re installing carb= no power. Anyways thanks a million and at least now I have some knowledge on how the clutches work
