Hey so I finally got my sons lt80 started...wiring issue so ther was no spark...fixed, carb pulled, rebuilt cleaned...getting gas, and compression was about 120. I ran it for maybe 5 minutes, quite a bit of smoke, but the things been sitting for a long time I believe, and it's a two stroke. I get off, I can hear it kind of idling down, and then she shuts down. IT WILL NOT start again. Spark is good, pulled carb and cleaned...it's getting gas...but will not start. So I checked compression...70...ouch. I'm wondering if this sounds like a rebuild, or maybe an reed valve, other ideas. Kind of confused regarding quick loss of compression. It sounded good and had good power while I was on it. Thanks.
