Default LT50 problem possible top end

I have a 2003 lt50 my son has had for the last years years and it has been great however last weekend it starting bogging down on any type of load while he was out riding in the snow. I figured maybe he had some bad gas so we put it away for the weekend. I then put some new fresh gas in it today and it fired right up and I took it for a quick spin. It felt a little slower but no real boggin considering it still needed to fully warm up. However once my son started riding in the yard i noticed it was considerably slower then usual and he was not getting much tire spin in the snow. Nomally he would be out rooosting donuts in this weather. I had him shut it down and it seemed really hot so i pulled the plug and sure enough the plug was really white meaning LEAN.. Cr@@. So once I let it cool down I did a quick compression test and it was only pulling about 110 to 115 psi after a few pulls.

So am I looking at having to pull this thing apart and doing a top end? if so what do you guys recomend for pistons etc...

Thanks,
Jonathan

I'd recommend cleaning the carb and having more fun in the snow.
I think you'll find a jet plugged.
Your comp is fine.

OK so I toook the carb apart thoughly cleaned it(it actually was pretty clean to start) and put everything back together with a brand new plug and the quad seems to be running fine...
However after just a few minutes I pulled the new plug to check and yes its definatly still way to lean the plug is a little crusty white onthe backside and barely any brown to it.
Any thoughts?

O and this quad has been de-restircted.
thanks

In a few minutes of running, I wouldn't expect much color.
If it's not sputtering on wot, it's fine.
