I got a 2 stroke atv recently for 70 bucks. Its like a 50cc or something. The person i got it from said it runs but it just needs a pull starter and a wheel bearing. I brought it home, put gas in it and i tried to drill start it and it wouldnt start and also i immediately noticed it was leaking from the carburetor. I took off the air filter and noticed it was leaking from there and i took off the carb and the intake manifold was damaged so i thought that would cause the leak so i replaced it and still same problem. It has compression, good spark, correct fuel and oil mix. dont know why it doesnt start. any help will be greatly appreciated

 

Welcome to the forums.
Take the carb back off and clean it inside. remove both jets and clean well.

 

hmm i thought that may have been a good idea but just ended up boiling it in lemon juice for an hour but obviously taking it apart i could get a better clean. Ill try that
