i have a friend who bought a e-ton 90 and brought it over to get carb cleaned and a oil leak fixed. i drained fuel when i noticed a fuel leak and noticed that the fuel looked to be already mixed rich. i asked if hed already mixed it and was told no.. i cleaned carb jets etc put it back together and started it up test drove it and on my return trip back to the shop it began loading up trying to stall. it also has a elec choke. can anyone tell me what i need to get this thing running maybe better than new before or on christmas? he bought it for his son. and id hate to not deliver. thanks for any input. E-Tons were "different" to most Chinese/Taiwanese stuff so I'm not sure if they used the Minarelli 90cc two stroke engine or not. If they did, the oiling system was controlled by a cable branched off the throttle so, if there is a cable problem, it may over oil. The electric choke is set to give excess fuel until the alternator current warms a coil in the choke mechanism, it then closes off the excess fuel. So, if the alternator isn't charging, or the choke mechanism faulty, it will continue to provide excess fuel.
If your friend has just bought the machine, he won't know what fuel was in it when he got it, many add extra oil to the fuel as insurance, or they let the oil tank empty and just run on pre-mix. Not the best idea as the oil pump needs oil to lubricate itself.

He had bought it few weeks prior to bringing over and told me he didnt pre mix the fuel, the cable going to oil pump looks to be in good shape. not sure about adjustment. i've seen a video on youtube of the same machine only modified . that had a different pit **** without the duel lines but it was very short and didnt say much. and so far thats about all i have found. a lot of parts out there for it. not a lot of info. i did end up putting fresh plug and new gas in it and it runs great for now but, who knows what itll do tomorrow.

If its a older machine the cable for the oiler could have been adjusted prior.. I know back in the day when sleds had oil injection at first all the sled guys were taking out the oilers and just going back to premix it was much more reliable
