Default LT 80 will only start (while pressing the start button and rolling Atv)

Hello my LT 80 will only start while rolling the quad and pressing the start button at the same time. If the Atv is not in motion nothing happens while pressing the button. Super weird thank you for any replies

Check for a bad earth between engine and frame. Bike shouldn't roll anyway as there is a lockout on the footbrake which should need to be locked on before the start button will work.

Rolling it and it helping points to a clutch problem IMO.
Apparently you disconnected the foot brake switch that Merryman mentioned? I agree, check the motor to frame ground.

The foot break safety switch was disconnected when I purchased the atv .I had it at the shop weeks ago for other reasons ,And they where complaining about a electoral problem with it starting and said they think they fixed it.( I had never experienced the problem till now ) this last weekends ride the atv acted completely dead .Untill I threw a trickle charger on it and realized the atv battery was fully charged .Then for some reason I decided to push my daughter while she pressed the starter button and this worked for the rest of the trip .ill check for ground tonight( lt80 mentioned a clutch issue I changed the fluid but doubt that would affect the starter ?)

There is a front and rear clutch which I am talking about.
You changed the gearbox oil.
I'm leaning toward a loose connection. Really the only reason that pushing helps.
Like we said, check the motor ground. (top right fan cover bolt is where that is).

Hey Doom, I recently found a service manual on CD that I had gotten when my daughter had her LT80. if you want it send me a pm with your address and I will send it your way. my daughter outgrew hers and went to a honda recon.
