Default Throttle Cable has no tension

Hello. Having some problems with 86cc loncin quad. There is no tension on the the throttle. When i give it gas, the throttle switch doesn't spring back. Noticed the needle doesn't have a c clip to hold the needle, but a spring like triangular shape deal. Maybe i got the order wrong in putting it back after some carb cleaining. Before i twist "bottle cap"" on there to the carburetor, there is tension. Once i install is when i loose tension. I ensure the groove is aligned so goes in smoothly. Thanks for any help.

There is a big diameter spring which sits between the slide and the "bottle cap," this provides the tension for the cable, also a little hairpin spring on the handlebar lever inside the control box. Check the cable isn't fraying where it goes through the "bottle cap".

Both springs are there and springing. Will check cable not fraying. Thanks
