Rather interesting, there were like 20 tiny springs that were all tangled together in the pinion assembly of the starter. Strange, Glad I got a new starter on the way.

Installed starter and new carb, fired right up, still hear a ring when starting, never noticed before. However, is there something that needs to be done with the new carb? It dies when I attempt to ride it and give slightest bit of gas. Almost the carb needs cleaned again, but this is brand new. I took slide needle spring and copper limiter out and using existing. Dang, I thought we were there!!!

I took apart the carb and cleaned it. Also removed and didn't replace the CAP 13697-40B00. It wasn't on the previous carb so thought its fine without. Installed carb and still bogging down and dying. Pulled vent hose off carb while running and immediately ran great. Blew out the hose with air and seems to be running good. Thanks to all of you for your help, especially lt80 for sticking with me until the end. You have patiently helped many of us parents with your expert advice. It means so much to all the kids to be riding again. We all really really appreciate it.
