LT80 compression
#1
Does anyone know what the compression (psi) should be for an LT80? I am trying to figure out why my kids LT has so little bottom end power. I suspect either lower than spec compression or maybe worn clutch components that engage at too low rpm. The little quad has lots of midrange and top power but has trouble climbing the slightest hills at the sand dunes. It just bogs and stops, it wont rev and pull the hill. Thanks

The air filter is in good shape. I am running about 120 lbs compression right now, I know that around 100 is needed to fire it up but I dont know if 120 is low or normal. It starts right up but lacks low end power. I am going to rip into the clutches this weekend and see if everything is cleaned and lubed as it should be and try removing a couple of the front rollers to see if that helps by raising the engagement rpms. I think I'll squirt some oil in the cylinder and re check compression and find if there's a major difference. You have any idea of your compression? Thanks
