Default LT80 Engine/Rear end side to side play

Hey guys;

I was wondering if it was typical for the engine mount bushings to wear out? I noticed that the foot pegs were digging into the plastic side cover of the engine. After looking at the machine it appears there is a lot of play in the front engine mounts, so I'm suspecting these parts have gone bad? (part #09319-14005 )

Thanks

Yes, but there are 4 per bike, so not cheap to change them, I suspect it won't be easy either. Engine cases can break too, lets hope it isn't that.

I sure hope it isn't the case. When /i wiggle the bike I see movement between the engine and the bracket, so I assume it's only the two motor mount bushings. What are the 4 you're referring to

Two in the aluminium engine cases and two in the bracket that both the long bolts go through. There are two rubber "cushions" on the frame as well but I have never come across those with damage.

Just checked the parts list and the bushes are different part numbers, so you need two of each if they are all shot, 019319-14005 and 019319-14008.

Great, thanks. That's all I was aware of as well. It appears the play is only in the two bushing which mount directly to the motor.

Tighten the bageezus out of that bolt.
They can be changed w/o damage if need be.

Oh that's good to know, you think it may just be loose??? If that's the case I may check that before ordering parts...

So I checked and the left side motor mount bushing is shot (the one which goes in the crankcase casting). How would you recommend getting these out? Do you think I could hammer the old ones out, from the outside to the inside with a socket? It looks like a 13/16" socket may do the trick.

I like to use a lot of heat. Then tap them out.

Thanks Jack, can you tap them from the outside in? Do you think using a socket would work? I'm not around my machine to check.
