Default Any negative feed back on LEM?

The red/green sticker issue is getting way out of line. First off, it does not matter if you have a 4 stroke mini or a 2 stroke ~~~ they both get red stickers last time I checked. Now, in either case, green stickers are still being issued on occasion. For example, some dealers, in their interest to make money, will bring in out of state 2 and 4 strokes. Again, the last time I checked, the VIN numbers on atvs from some states will not trigger the CA DMV computer to issue a red sticker.

Even if you get a red sticker, the times and areas that are restricted are fairly limited and usually not enforced, especially with the minis.

As for purchasing a 4 stroke ~~ only when they actually make them properly.

The only thing that determines a red sticker or a green sticker is the 8th digit in the VIN number.

If the 8th digit is a Y, then the vehicle has passed CARB testing for a green sticker.

Any other letter signifies a red sticker.

It has nothing to do with 2 stroke or 4 stroke other than 2 strokes always fail CARB, and 4 strokes ocassionally fail like in the case of the higher performance 4 stroke 2 wheelers from Yami and Honda.

All the small 4 stroke quads that were origionally sent to the dealer in Calif have green stickers.

Those from out of state dealers that have been re sold to Calif dealers will be red stickered unless the dealer has them CARB certified, and they'll get a new VIN number, and be green sticker certified.

Anything else you hear is pure nonsense usually from people kidding themselves that buying 2 stroke was a smart idea.
