STALLIN!!!!!!
#12
YoDaddy, On RS Performance's web site they mention the o-ring on the gas tank connection swelling and causing the quad to stall + hard to start. It may be that. I never had any stalling problems when jumping or rolling over jumps but at first I stalled mine quite often in tight corners. I just changed my riding style and it hasnt realy been a problem since. I agree with ya, just hit em hee! hee! (JK). I wouldnt change the sprocket to a smaller size especially if your getting 18" rears. You will hate it. I also wouldnt use, or abuse I guess I should say, the clutch no more than I had to. Its gonna take alittle track time to get used to the engine. It did me anyway.

Check the tension on the chain. This can be a huge factor if it is stalling on small jumps that you just kinda roll over. I had this problem on my yz426 bike. I bought my wife a speed but she does not ride it that hard. I have had my yz stall so bad it throws my chest into the bars. It is like hitting a brick wall. Check the chain, that was what it was on my bike.

The chain is tension is perfect so thats not the problem. I guess it's just high compression and me riding it like my old 300ex. I talked to Kyle at R&S, and he said that I just have to "relearn" how to ride because it is a COMPLETELY different quad. I'm going to the track again to practice tomorrow (weather permitting) so I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'll probably "go big" on a couple of the jumps I stalled on... I was kinda kicking myself for not doin those when I EASILY did those on my 300ex.

Well the track that I had planned on riding at was closed but I rode at another track and the Dale didn't stall on me once. I felt like I was riding it a lot better but I can't really say for sure since it wasn't the same track that I was riding at. I'll probably mess with the rear shock a little but I think I'm getting the hang of this quad pretty good although I got bucked off once. Kinda sucks cause I was scared of that double the whole rest of the day. Oh, I almost forgot... Do any of you C-dale owners have any tips for hookin up the kill switch? I was havin a little trouble trying to pull my quad out of the fence and Lonestarbanshee got bucked off one day and the Dale rolled into a barn, so I'm thinkin it would be a good idea to try to hook up that switch. I tried it once before, hooked it up to the right wire and everything (posotive wire on the coil) and my quad wouldn't start. I guess it wasn't getting enough spark to the plug. I couldn't get it to start with the tether in, out, and it wouldn't even start when I undid the ground wire... Whats the deal?

YoDaddy,
I ran into the same problem with the kill switch last fall. I got one hooked it up every way possible but it didn't work. Then I found out that you must have a switch that is "Normally Closed".
Do you have this type of switch??

I just installed a kill switch on my '02 cannibal. I used one from an Acrtic Cat Snow mobile (which is normally closed) I placed a male and female bullet type connectors on the ends and plugged them into the green wire from the ignition switch. Works great!
