I moved my clips up 4 positions and it lowered the ride height quite a bit. My a-arms are now almost horizontal. It does cut down on some travel but it's not noticeable. I jump the dunes alot and have never bottomed out once.

I also like the looks of how it sits now, looks more sporty with it squatted down. It's a poor mans PEP ZPS setup!! I go over and visit with Johnny Hale all the time and I love how his R sits with his ZPS's shocks. You can pull up the front and rear of his quad and it will stay where you leave it or with one finger, you can shove it down and it moves like 6", awesome shocks, and they never bottom out either!! If you guys ever get any other aftermarket shocks, get PEP!

You will need an assistant. Someone needs to grab the top of the shock where the spring ends and pull down to take pressure off that top ring. Get a small flat blade screw driver and you will have to "pick" at the end of the clip. Once you get one end of the clip out, it's easy to move it up into whatever position you want.

Set it on something to allow the front wheels to hang down free, then pull down on the spring.

CornHole, Axis doesn't even offer a ZPS shock!! Why do you think all the top pro's run PEP, there is a reason for that!!

I moved the stop rings up 3 notches will out riding Sunday and I this is a BAD THING. When you move the stop rings up the spring is not preloaded at all and will float around on the shock. This is no big deal when you riding trails but when you do jumps you probably damage the shock as when your suspension tops out when your in the air there will be about a 1/4 inch of gap in between the spring stop and spring then when you come down from the jump you will hammer the spring stop into the stop ring. BAD Idea!!! I'm going to call Ohlins today and see how mutch just a dual spring setup will go for and you can just install that yourself I think. I will post when I get the details.

When I moved my stop ring up 4 spots, my shocks were still preloaded so they did not "float". You're correct, if you adjust the stop ring so high where there is no preload, that's probably not the ideal shock setting if you ride agressively. I would have thought all the Ohlins would have been setup the same but obviously not. You're shocks stop ring must have been in a higher setting to begin with than mine.
