My rings are 8 notches down from the top. I moved them up 3 notches and got the spring to float.

Mine are now in the 5th slot from the top also and mine are still preloaded. My a-arms are almost perfectly horizontal too.

Briansgi,Your ring is on the 5th slot from the top.Where do you have the spring adjustment at?Is it all the way stiff,in the middle or the soft setting?

OOOHHHHHH, I see what yall are talkin about now. Do you not have any problems w/ the frame hitting the ground when you jump?

Funny thing I talked to Joey today at Ohlins and he said that the factory springs on the Cannibal shocks are the lightest progressive spring they make. He said there 140lb springs.

They are currently all the way adjusted out. When I drag race I adjust the shock all the way down to get the front squatted down even more. I haven't noticed any ill affects of this. Like I said, I'm still preloaded too and we jump some pretty big dunes and I have not bottomed out once and I weigh, with boots and gear, around 185. And I have not noticed the ball joints binding or tie rods hitting the frame.

So you just pop out that clip at the top of the ring stop and move the clip and ring stop up a couple of notches????
That sounds easy enough but I'm afraid I'll mess something up and won't be able to fix it w/o a lot of $$.
I think I"ll wait till I have a job before I do that.

YoDaddy, yea it's real easy. Jack up the front end and get the tires off the ground. You'll need an assistant to grab the top of the spring and pull down to take the pressure off the stop ring. Then take a pic or small flat blade screw driver and pic out one end of the ring or use a good pair of needle nose pliers. Once you get those little bugers out, they are easy to move to another slot.
