Anyone else on here have front wheel play when they pull on them? I talked to another guy on here, he says he does; anyone else? Thank you, JIM

Do you mean a little slop in the tie rod connection to the steering stem? I've got that on my Cannibal and also had it on my FX400. You don't notice it though when you ride but it's noticeable when you've got the front end off the ground and you move the handle bars back and forth.

I have it also. It actually feels like my wheel bearings are shot. Real weird. And when I crank my bars the whole way, I heard a "clank". Not real loud, but I can't figure it out for the life of me. Almost like the tie-rods are sticking...

Vito,
That clank you hear is probably your inside tie rod end touching the frame? That is my guess........JIM

I talked to you on a similar post about this. I had play in mind and it turned out to be the steering stem mounting bolts. This past weekend I was greasing the tie-rods after washing the quad and notice it had just a slight bit of play in the left outer tie-rod. I have logged 3 (2 hour races on it) and about 5-7 hours of riding on it. I think the play is do to the fact that I bounce that wheel off a tree at the last race. The question I would like to know is there any aftermarket heavy duty tie-rods available for it.

On an unrelated note, I talked to R&S about a steel braided clutch cable, at this time they are taking orders and have no price on them yet.

What # quad do you have? Mine came with a steel braided clutch cable, same as the brake lines. Seems you should be able to get them from any dealer.

Jim,

No, it's not hitting the frame rails. I checked that. I'm putting it on the grab bar tonight and take a better look at it.

Mines #161. I'll have to talk to the dealer about getting one then. Thanks for the info. I'll get back with Y'all when I find out.

Lower steering stem bolts were tight. I am going to be re-assembling the front end this weekend and see what happens. If nothing else, I am bringing it into the dealer to take a peek at what is going on. Jim
