cannondale tech school

I went to the cannondale tech school which was held this weekend at the factory. These people really care about the customer, dealers, mechanics. The first day was spent learning all the electrical systems and fuelsystem. We all had quads to do all the tests and programing on.The second day was a factory tour then we removed a engine from the quad and completely disassembled and reassembled it.I was really impressed by the r&d,Quality control and enthusiasm of the people there. This class took up a lot of there timeand money. After this i feel the motor is the easiest 4stroke to work on made. The programing is fun and we finally have a company that cares about the sport, race Quads and to top it off its USA try to do what I did last weekend with the other companies.

One of the local guys has been racing it at a dirt dragstrip they have down there. So it wasnt there 450 did get mentioned alot one thing I did find intersting was a front end which was billet the steering dog was lower almost as low as the frame rails. There was also talk of Fox shocks.I would hate to lose the Ohlins rear but the fronts wouldnt be missed since i am finding it hard to work with Ohlins on them shims,oil,I.F.P depth etc.

Actually cannondales are 432cc.Right now AMA motorcross cc limit is 550cc but rumer is that next year it will be 450cc.This is in the 250pro class and most ameteur classes.Quads the limit is 440 otherwise you have to run the open classes. It seems to me that honda runs the show as far as rules for the ama are concerned.

I dont know how big a difference it will make but perhaps the cc's wont be all they are doing.Honda made theirs bigger than Yamaha and Cannondale for a reason and from what I gather they were selling the motors for $3600 and they are all gone. This is competition at its best and I think its about time. to be honest I think KTM and Cannondale are scaring the heck out of the big three and they wont be able to sell BOLD NEW GRAPHICS anymore.Amen.
